Just close the tape, no blind needed

1

u/Opposite-Sundae-90 Aug 28 '22

There is a layer of plexiglas between you and the actual window, with about 3 cm of air in between the two layers, so no, it'll only affect the plexiglas

u/Glittersparkles7 Aug 11 '22

The only reason this is unexpected is because Airport security let you through with duct tape. 👀

8

u/spankybacon Aug 11 '22

How about you use blue painters tape so it keeps a good hold and doesn't duck up the window.

9

u/porcodiopapi Aug 12 '22

Good hold…from painters tape? Gaff or gtfo here

1

u/Santas_southpole Aug 12 '22

Painters tape is fine lmao. I use it when I don’t wanna fuck up people’s walls with gaff.

-4

u/porcodiopapi Aug 12 '22

Yeah because your sticking it to paint, it’s not meant to hold anything other than a clean edge. You know nothing of tape

2

u/Santas_southpole Aug 12 '22

Lmao I’m a gaffer with 10 years experience, I know a thing or two, sweetie. Always have a roll of painters tape on me.

-3

u/porcodiopapi Aug 12 '22

Only 10?? Green

3

u/Santas_southpole Aug 12 '22

Lol enough to know tape. :) r/confidentlyincorrect is calling

-6

u/porcodiopapi Aug 12 '22

Tell me what your taping to walls with painters tape? You need the purple delicate. You’re a union guy, aren’t you?

5

u/Santas_southpole Aug 12 '22

Lmao why are you so triggered over tape? You’re wrong and someone who is a professional who uses it told you so. Take the L my dude, trying to start shit over tape is pathetic.

-3

u/porcodiopapi Aug 12 '22

Yup, definitely Union lol. Go back to tape school son

But that's not what we are talking about. We are sticking it to a plastic window. No one in this thread is painting.

0

u/porcodiopapi Aug 16 '22

Then don’t use….painters…tape

1

u/spankybacon Aug 16 '22

Ok troll. Whatever you say.

2

u/porcodiopapi Aug 16 '22

Shhh, they have realized yet

1

u/spankybacon Aug 16 '22

Hahaha keep being a cool dude.

1

u/porcodiopapi Aug 17 '22

keep an eye for non-compliance in the tape industry, for your good and mine 😉

8

u/CanYouDigItDeep Aug 11 '22

It’s much easier to put the phone in between the shade and the window. The shade holds it in place and you don’t have to lower it fully so you can start/stop as needed. Works great

2

u/moparmesean Aug 12 '22

Then turbulence hits and your phone slides down between the wall.

7

u/BorosSparky Aug 11 '22

It’s the crocs. That phone wanted suicide being near them

1

u/spankybacon Aug 11 '22

Someone's afraid of comfortable shoes.

6

u/VicRambo Aug 11 '22

A was expecting a shaken up blurry image

4

u/HotWeatherHater Aug 12 '22

How long does it take before a flight attendant tells you to cut that shit out?

3

u/BranJames555 Aug 11 '22

Or you know.. just go on your trip and not announce it to everybody.

2

u/I_Love_Lava_Lamp Aug 11 '22

Just close the blind, no tape needed

2

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '22

Even if I book a flight last minute and can't get a window seat, I still like to see a bit of the sky through the window, not some arseholes phone taped to the fooking window.

1

u/PointlessGrandma Aug 11 '22

Tape job looks weak. Totally expected that.

1

u/[deleted] Aug 12 '22

Nice mask 😏

1

u/RosiiiePosiiie420 Aug 12 '22

Na na na you gotta pull the shady thing down and it holds the phone perfectly up to the glass.

1

u/AgaliAMC Aug 12 '22

Just get Microsoft Flight Simulator

1

u/YandeMC Aug 12 '22

My phone overheated

1

u/TheDougDimmadome_ Aug 12 '22
  1. I'm amazed that you got duct tape through TSA.

  2. I hope the airline charges you for damage to those windows.

1

u/im_sponge_worthy Aug 28 '22

Aren't you supposed to turn off phones and laptops for flights?

1

u/DrYwAlLpUnChEr420 29d ago

Or you just move the blind down

0

u/DocJ98 Aug 11 '22

I'm amazed she got duct tape through security. I mean they usually miss the grenades and knives, but find the harmless stuff like nail clippers without any problem.

0

u/TrandyBrandy Aug 12 '22

I’d like to see a panoramic photo taken this way.

0

u/TinFoilRobotProphet Aug 12 '22

A) Love that song. B) Glad it wasn't a plane crash

-1

u/PoochieScoochie Aug 11 '22

Who fucking cares

2

u/StillGalaxy99 Aug 11 '22

Someone doesn't like other people enjoying things

-4

u/LouSayners Aug 11 '22 edited Aug 12 '22

Um excuse me sir, please turn off all electronic devices for the duration of the flight.

Edit: /s … surprised I even needed to edit this

4

u/ToKillAMockingAudi Aug 11 '22

That's not how that works

-2

u/freeski919 Aug 11 '22

You've never actually been on an airplane, have you?

-4

u/complicated_typoe Aug 11 '22

What's unexpected is how can they freaking see through their glasses with a mask and a car visor on their head
